Reelin' In The Years--Saturdays 8-10 PM ET

Ryan Janson is host of Reelin' In The Years every Saturday night at 8:00 ET on 517Rocks.  Join him for two hours of  Rock, Oldies, Blues and Americana.  Every week, Ryan dives deep into the history behind the music and offers a mini-theme throughout the show.

Ryan Janson

Ryan grew up in Beavercreek, OH. He fell in love with broadcasting after listening to the Hall-Of-Famer, Marty Brennaman. In 2007, he left for Athens to study Communications at Ohio University. While there, Ryan landed his first radio gig at WOUB-AM and became a studio rat. He spent many hours at the RTV Building honing my craft.

Unfortunately, due to the corporate takeover of radio, coupled with the advent of the iPhone, the radio industry wasn't much of a lucrative career. After Ryan graduated, he wound up getting a job in the financial industry. However, he's grateful to still be part of the radio business. Thanks, in large part, to Bill Spry who gave him the opportunity to join ClassX in the fall of 2018.

Aside from radio, Ryan enjoys auto racing, flying his drone, reading The Bible, and hanging out with his family - Brittany (wife), Noah (stepson), Bristol (daughter), and Crosley (son).
